2025 Canton, TX Military and First Responders Appreciation Day

Welcome! Please join us on 17 May 2025 for the 2nd annual Canton, TX Military and First Responders Appreciation day. There is plenty for the whole family to enjoy and help us show our appreciation for those who protect and support us.

Who:
Everyone of all ages are welcome to attend, this is a family friendly event.

Where:
- Pavilion 4000 and 4500 near the North Entrance to First Monday Trade Days along Hwy. 19 in Canton, TX
- FREE Parking is available on the North and East sides of the 4000 Pavilion.

Schedule of Events:
6:30-8:00am
- Tunnels to Towers 5K Fun Run (5:30 registration and sign-in)

9:00am-3:00pm
- VFW Post 12219 Pew Pew Raffles, Silent Auctions, & Door Prizes. Winners will be announced over PA throughout the day.
- Military Vehicle and Helicopter Displays
- First Responders
- Motorcycle Club Displays
- Car Club Displays
- Food Trucks
- Quilt presentations from Quilts of Valor and Texas Star Quilters Guild
- Vendors
- $1 a swing "Car Smash"
- Chainsaw sculptor
- A giant Brookshire's shopping cart
- Winched hot air balloon rides

9:00-11:00am
- Radio coverage by "Charlie O" from 104.1 FM "The Ranch"

1:00-1:30pm
- Van Zandt Fire Department Extraction Demonstration

3:00-4:30pm
- The Red Iron Push Band

Cost:
- FREE attendance for everyone! Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the front of the 4000 pavilion near the stage. Cash and credit/debit cards will be accepted for all main event items, but vendors may have different acceptable payment options so please come prepared.
- FREE vendor spots with the donation of a door prize (250 covered pavilion spots available for this event).
- One FREE door prize ticket per attendee upon entrance. Additional door prize tickets are available for $1 each, or six tickets for $5.
- Raffle tickets are one for $10, or six for $50.

Chairs may be limited.
